LEST WE FORGET 241 McGILLIVRAY, Clarence Hector WWII Clarence was born in 1917 in Piapot, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Canadian Army 16/22 Sask. Horse in 1940. He served in England, France, Germany, and Holland until his discharge in 1946. He married Marjorie Beasley before he went overseas and had four children, Sydney, Carolyn, Evelyn and Lyle. He received five medals. Clarence passed away in 1980 and is buried in Piapot Cemetery. McGINNIS, William Joseph WWII William was born in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, on July 21, 1923. He joined the Winnipeg Grenadiers in May 1941 and was taken prisoner in Hong Kong on December 25, 1941, at the age of eighteen. He died in Osaka, Japan, prison camp on April 25, 1944 when he was twenty years old. McGINNIS, John Asa WWII John was born in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, on September 7, 1918. He joined the RCSC in March 1942 as a truck driver and mechanic, serving in England, Italy and through Europe, as well as Holland. He was discharged in February 1946. He passed away on September 17, 1985.
