LEST WE FORGET 111 BUCHAN, George WWI George was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1878 and enlisted with the CEF 96th Battalion on April 14, 1916 serving in France during World War I. He was discharged on April 14, 1919. BURTON (ANDREWS), Florence Ruthie WWII Florence was born in 1925 in Forgan, Saskatchewan. She enlisted with the CWAC on October 3, 1944. She served in Canada until her discharge on April 2, 1946. She married George Andrews of Reston, MB. She was a loyal member of the Elizabeth Branch, Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Reston, MB. She was also a long-time member of the Dinsmore/Wiseton Branch 210 of The Royal Canadian Legion for about 25 years. After returning to Wiseton in 1955, she was confined to bed and was in and out of the University Hospital and was in constant pain. She never complained and found solace in her church and God. Florence passed away in 1976. BUFFINGTON (AGNEW), Katherine E. WWII Katherine joined the Women’s Division of the Royal Canadian Air Force in September 1942. She served as a Leading Airwoman in Canada and the United Kingdom until her discharge in November 1945.
