LEST WE FORGET 83 BROCKBANK, Harold WWII Harold was born in Outlook, Saskatchewan in 1914 and enlisted with the South Saskatchewan Regiment serving in Canada and Europe. He was killed in action in 1944 and is buried in Groesbeek Cemetery in the Netherlands. BROWN, John Farnholm “Jack” WWI Jack never knew his parents and spent most of his childhood in the Lord Barnard Home for Boys in London. He and a close friend, Tom Cook, served in the Royal Naval Reserve and came to Canada in 1910. Jack joined the Royal Canadian Engineers and served on the continent in World War I. After the war, he married Dorothy Blaber and had one child. They farmed in the New England District 6, then he began work with the soldier settlement board. Soon after, he moved to Vancouver where he later passed away. BROW, John Smith WWI John was born in Kirriemuir, Scotland in 1891. He joined the Cpl 188th Overseas Battalion and served in France. He passed away in 1972.
