LEST WE FORGET 385 WYLIE, Donald Chester WWII Donald joined the Army on January 26, 1945, and trained at Camp Shilo, Manitoba. He was discharged on April 26, 1946. Donald passed away in Saskatoon on December 20, 1988. YABLONSKI, Edmond WWII Edmond was born in Poland on November 25, 1919. He immigrated to Saskatchewan in 1929. In 1939, he joined the Royal Canadian Engineers and served across Western and Eastern Canada as a heavy machine operator, ending up with the Military Police in Halifax as a jail guard. Two weeks later, the war ended and he returned to farm in Saskatchewan. In 1949, he married Julia, and they raised a family of two daughters and one son. Ed passed away at home on August 23, 2002. WYLLIE, Alexander Jamieson WWI Alexander was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on April 11, 1898. He joined the 217th Battalion Saskatchewan Regiment - CMR on February 22, 1916, and served in France. He was killed in action by a sniper on August 26, 1918, at Monchy-le-Preux near Arras.
