He was on strength to # 3 Personnel Reception Centre at the time of his death. Twenty-one airmen were killed by an enemy bombing attack on the Metropole Hotel in Landsowne Square. William had been educated at Derby School near Brancepeth, SK, and was farming there when he enlisted. WRIGHT, Walter N. WWII Walter was born in 1919 in Carnduff, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a Leading Aircraftman at No. 3 Wireless School in Tuxedo, Manitoba. He served in Canada, Great Britain, France, Holland and Belgium. Walter may have died around 1990. WRIGHT, John Austin WWI John was born in Carnduff, Saskatchewan, on October 20, 1889. He joined the 108th Battalion CEF and served in England. He passed away on November 20, 1943. John was president of his local Legion Branch until his death.
