LEST WE FORGET 347 TUCKER, Kenneth Ward “Ken” Ken was born in Rouleau, Saskatchewan on June 9, 1933. He joined the Queen’s Own Rifles in 1954 and later transferred to the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. During his twenty years of service, he was in various provinces in Canada, and in Germany, Vietnam, and Cyprus. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256 in Stony Plain, Alberta for fifteen years. Ken passed away on September 28, 2008. TURNER, Kenneth William WWII Kenneth was born on July 10, 1923 in Estevan, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the RCNVR in 1942. He was a Stoker 2nd Class and served at various units for training. He volunteered for the war on Japan. He was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Estevan Branch 60. Kenneth passed away on February 25, 2004. TURNER, Bernard WWI Bernard was born on April 4, 1898, in Kent, England. He enlisted with the Army on May 24, 1916 and served with the 5th Western Calvary, 152nd Battalion in England and France. He was wounded at Vimy Ridge by machine gun fire. He had bullets in both legs but there was no major damage. He was declared missing in action until he was found a few days later in a shell crater. He was sent to a hospital in England and he finished the war as a bombing instructor. Bernard was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Estevan Branch 60.
