LEST WE FORGET 345 TOWILL, Graeme W. WWI Graeme was born on August 10, 1892, in Golderich, Ontario. He moved with his family to the Moosomin, Saskatchewan area in 1902. He enlisted with the Canadian Expeditionary Force in February 1915 and served in England, France and Belgium with the 10th Canadian Mounted Rifles and the 4th Battalion, Canadian Machine Gun Corps. He was demobilized in June 1919. He took up farming under the Soldier Settlement Board on what was then the Ochapowace Reserve, now known as the Armentieres district. He was a member of the GWVA and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 87. Graeme passed away in 1973. TOWNSEND, William John WWII William was born in 1921 in Mazenod, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as an Airframe Mechanic in Alberta and Manitoba until his discharge. William passed away in 1997. TOWNSEND, Frank J. WWII Frank was born in 1922 in Wadena, Saskatchewan and came to Nipawin with his parents in 1924. He attended Maple Hill and Nipawin Schools. He joined the Army in 1940 and served with the 8th RECCE (Reconnaissance Corps) in Central Europe. Frank was killed in France on August 22, 1944. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal.
