LEST WE FORGET 273 PARKS, Ernest Stanley “Stan” WWII Stan was born on March 3, 1925, in Brock, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in World War II with the Navy in 1943. He served as a wireless telegraph operator aboard the HMCS Loch Morlichon the North Atlantic. Stan was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Peace River Branch 62 and Fort Macleod Branch 46 for sixty years before he passed away on April 27, 2006. PAYNE, Gerald Alfred KOREANWAR Gerald was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 5, 1928. He enlisted in the Navy and served in Korea and in Continental Europe on the ships Queen, Uganda, Stadacona, Ontario, Bytown (Queen), Chippawa, Cayuga and Naden. He served from February 15, 1946 to February 14, 1951; February 15, 1951 to March 18, 1951 and March 19, 1951 to March 1956. Gerald played hockey on the Navy team and passed a service police course. Gerald passed away on March 14, 2016. PATON, Thomas A. B. WWII & PEACETIME Thomas was born in Lawson, Saskatchewan, in 1920. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941 and again in 1948, serving in Canada, Britain and Northwestern Europe. He passed away in 1993 and had been a member of Fort Garry Branch 90 of The Royal Canadian Legion for 25 years.
