He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Maple Leaf, the 1939-1945 Star, the War Medal 1939-1945 and the Defence Medal. George died in 1985. OTHEN, Charles WWII Charles Othen was born in Antler, Saskatchewan. He served as a Private with the Loyal Edmonton Regiment from 1939 to 1945. He served in England, Sicily and Italy. He is now deceased. OLDEN, Merton E. WWII Merton was born in Paynton, Saskatchewan in 1918. He joined the Army and served in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba during World War II. Merton passed away in 1999.
