He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Corporal and transport driver with 437 Squadron in Trenton, Ontario and Dauphin, Manitoba, as well as in England, Belgium and France. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion General Lipsett Branch 99 in Emo for more than fifty years. Thomas passed away in 1999. LONG, Leslie Alexander WWII Leslie was born on December 24, 1920, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He served with the RCASC, 47 Canadian General, as a Private. He trained in Red Deer, Alberta, and in western Canada. He served in Canada, England, and the European Front. Leslie was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Lloydminster Branch 39 and Red Deer Branch 35 for 25 years. Leslie passed away in 1989. LONG, Alfred William WWII Alfred was born in 1917 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He served with the Army’s 1st Railway Corp, and No. 1 Operating Corp in Stratford, Ontario, England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany during World War II. Alfred passed away in 1998. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 45 years.
