LEST WE FORGET 155 HARBOTTLE, Ewart H. “Bill” WWII Bill was born in Carrievale, Saskatchewan in 1894. He served during the World War I with the 229th Battalion, South Saskatchewan, a unit in the Canadian Expeditionary Force based in Moose Jaw, SK. Bull served in the trenches in France. He was wounded and shipped back to Canada. His injuries forced him to use canes and crutches for the rest of his life. Bill was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta and Branch 74 in Kaslo, British Columbia for fifty years. He passed away in 1981 and is buried in Chase, BC. HARBOURNE, James Wilson WWII James was born in Saskatchewan in 1913. He enlisted in World War II with the Canadian Army with the Calgary Highlanders and transferred from infantry to the Medical Corp. He served overseas. He was a member of High Level and Red Deer Branches of The Royal Canadian Legion. James passed away in 2007. HARBOURNE, Elroy Roxy WWII Elroy was born in Amulet, Saskatchewan in 1912. He enlisted in World War II with the Canadian Army at the Currie Barracks Calgary, Alberta in 1940. He served with 6 Canadian Construction Engineers in England. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion High Level Branch. Elroy passed away in 1997.
