LEST WE FORGET 139 GRAY, Jeremiah Kenneth “Jerry” WWII Jeremiah “Jerry” Kenneth Gray was born on October 19, 1921. His parents were Ernest Wetmore Gray and Laura Maude (Taylor) Gray. Jerry’s father worked for the CPR in Outlook. In July 1941, at the age of nineteen, Jerry joined the RCAF at the recruiting office in Regina. He was stationed at Mossbank, never being called to service overseas. In 1942, he married Olga Verna Kanak at St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Outlook. They had four children: Sandra, Jerry Jr., Susan and Georgette. After his release from the RCAF, Jerry worked as a bookkeeper. The family lived in Regina. Jeremiah Kenneth Gray died on December 1, 1991 and is buried in Regina Memorial Gardens. GUY, Allan Ross WWII Allan was born in Unity, Saskatchewan in 1925. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War Two in Canada, England, and on the High Seas. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Edgerton Branch 168 for 36 years. Allan passed away on December 18, 2016. GUNDERSON, Gilbert J. WWII Gilbert was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan in 1925. He joined the Army and served in Canada, England and Holland with the 1st Battalion of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada. He was killed in action in Nijmegen, Holland in 1944.
