LEST WE FORGET 99 DAHL, Ove WWII Ove was born near Compeer, Alberta, in 1919. His family moved to near Court, Saskatchewan, in 1923. Ove farmed until he enlisted in the Army in 1941. He served with the Winnipeg Rifles in England, Holland, Belgium, Germany, and Canada until 1946. After the war, Ove farmed and worked for the CNR until 1953 and then worked for Edmonton Telephones until he retired in 1984. Ove moved to Calgary in 1989 and passed away there on May 21, 2009. DALE, John Clapham WWII John was born in 1909 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. He served with the Canadian Army 13th Field Regiment during World War II in Canada, England and Europe. He took part in the D-Day invasion of Europe and was later wounded. He reached the Rank of Major. John passed away in the 1980’s. DAIGLE, Archielle Joseph “Archie” WWII Archie was born in St. Louis, Saskatchewan, in 1916. He enlisted in World War II with the Canadian Army and served in Canada with the Royal Canadian Engineers. Archie passed away in 2007.
