LEST WE FORGET 89 CALWELL, Thomas William WWII Thomas enlisted to serve in World War II on October 19, 1944 and returned to civil life on demobilization on April 15, 1946. He was stationed at St. Jean, Quebec from May 1951 to September 1951; RCAF Station at Clinton, Ontario from September 1951 to November 1951; CJATC Rivers, Manitoba from May 1954 to November 1956; RCAF Station Namao in Edmonton, Alberta from November 1956 to May 1958; RCAF Station in Greenwood, Nova Scotia from June 1958 to August 1959; Camp Borden Ontario from August 1959 to October 1959. He returned to RCAF Station in Greenwood, Nova Scotia from October 1959 to January 1961. Thomas was at RCAF Station at Comox, British Columbia from January 1961 to December 1963 where he retired. CAMERON, James Y. “Jim” WWII Jim was the son of Alex and Ella Cameron. He was born on June 10, 1922, in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and served from 1941 to 1945. On returning home, he farmed north of Wartime, Saskatchewan. Jim married Florence DeGirolamo in Nelson, British Columbia on November 11, 1950 and they resided in Wartime from 1951 to 1968. They had three children: Richard, Jeanne, and Michael. Jim passed away on September 23, 1967, at the age of 45. CAMERON, Eoin WWII Eoin was born on June 23, 1915, in Carlyle, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1943. He trained as a Wireless Mechanic and served in this capacity in various places within Canada until he was honourably discharged in 1946. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Carlyle Branch 248. Eoin passed away on January 2, 2001.
