Carl married Reta Bale from Elrose, Saskatchewan on January 11, 1943 and they made their home in Saskatoon in Montgomery Place, an area of small holdings that was developed through the Veterans’ Land Act. SEDGWICK, Raymond Edward WWII Raymond was born in Elrose, Saskatchewan. He joined the Canadian Army in Vernon, British Columbia in 1941, training as an engineer and working as far east as Newfoundland. After his discharge, he returned to Saskatoon and worked at Intercontinental Packers and then with the Canadian Labour Congress. Raymond married Joy Bale from Elrose on October 5, 1946.
