LEST WE FORGET 247 KELSEY, Elmer Ernest WWII Elmer was born in Elrose, Saskatchewan in 1918. He joined the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and served overseas for four years with the 1st Canadian Army. Elmer passed away in 1983. KEMPTON, Maurice McAllister WWII Maurice was born in Carlyle, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a navigator. He took several Wellingtons over the Atlantic and then to Egypt. While in Malta, he was promoted to Flying Officer. FO Maurice McAllister Kempton was killed in action in the Middle East. KELSEY, Roy Roy was born in Elrose, Saskatchewan in 1930, the son of Adam and Nora Kelsey. He served for twenty years in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was stationed at various places in Canada. While stationed in Calgary, he married Elizabeth Black and they had three sons: Peter, Alan and Stephen and two daughters: Nora and Sarah. After his retirement from the Air Force, they settled in Calgary. Roy passed away on October 10, 1992.
