LEST WE FORGET 189 GOSKI, Leonard “Len” SPECIAL DUTY AREA & PEACETIME Len was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on July 18, 1942, to Joseph and Antonina Goski. He joined the RCAF on June 8, 1960. Len joined the Royal Canadian Regiment in August 1967, the Canadian Intelligence Corps in 1969, attended the Community School of Intelligence and Security and was at 1 CMBG in Calgary from 1970 to 1973. From 1973 to 1976, he served at 4 CMBG in Lahr, Germany then attended the Canadian Forces School of Intelligence and Security and the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College until 1979. Len was at the National Defense Headquarters from 1979 to 1982; on exchange duties in Washington, DC from 1982 to 1985; Liaison Officer in Fort Huachuca, Arizona from 1986 to 1991; HQ 1 Canadian Division from 1991 to 1992; Canadian Joint Task Force Headquarters in Somalia J-2 from 1992 to 1993. From 1993 to 1996, he was at National Defense Headquarters as an Intelligence Strategic Analyst. After 36 years of honourable service, he finished his career in Military Intelligence in 1996, retiring at the rank of Major. Len also received his Paratrooper Wings and in 2013, he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was awarded the Canadian Forces’ Decoration. Len passed away on June 30, 2014. GOULDING, Keith WWII Keith was born in Canwood, Saskatchewan in 1920. He joined the C.M.S. Intelligence Corps and served from 1941 to 1945 as a Sergeant in Canada and mostly in Quebec. He passed away in 1990. GOULD, Percy WWII Percy was born on February 24, 1908 in Whitney, Ontario. He joined the 16/22 Saskatchewan Horse Regiment in August of 1940. He served in Canada until his discharge in September of 1945. He received a Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion until his death in 1966.
