LEST WE FORGET 187 GLENVILLE, Stewart WWII Stewart was born in Little Current, Ontario, in 1904. He left Foam Lake in August 1943 for Camp Borden. Stewart had five brothers who served overseas in the Army. Stewart passed away in 1998. GOSKI, Anthony “Tony” WWII Tony was born on November 1, 1915, in Cedoux, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Army in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 20, 1943. He served with the 115 Field Battery, RCA in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II. He was discharged with the rank of Gunner on March 9, 1946. Tony passed away on March 8, 1994. GORANSON, Donald Leroy “Don” WWII Don was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on December 15, 1921. He joined the Air Force in 1942 and graduated as a Pilot Officer as a bomber aimer. He was posted to England in 1944 to complete training as a crew of seven to fly Halifax Bombers. The first trip was on April 6, 1945 to Hamburg. Other targets were Leipzig, Kiek, Heligoland, and Bremen. The last trip was on April 24, 1945 as the war ended on May 8, 1945. After a short leave, he was posted to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia to train for the Pacific. Don was discharged in August 1945. He received the France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, Bomber Clasp and Ribbon King George VI Medal and War Medal 1939-1945. Don is a 43-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Weyburn Branch 47.
