LEST WE FORGET 133 DUNBAR, Fraser Mclean “Mac” WWII Mac was born in North Portal, Saskatchewan in 1909. He signed up for World War II and served in the #1 General Hospital in England, Italy, France, Belgium and Holland.While still in Holland, he was posted at Nijmegen and met his wifeto-be, Jane, and was married in 1946. Mac left Holland for Canada and Jane followed a short time later. Mac passed away in 2007. DUNCAN, WilliamWalter WWII William was born in Avebury, Saskatchewan on January 12, 1920. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force 303 Squadron (RAF), 38 Squadron (RAF) and the 162 Squadron (RAF), serving in Canada, England and the Middle East during World War II. He was married to Lucy Cutting. He received the 19391945 Star, the Africa Star, the Italy Star, the Defence Medal, the War Medal 1939-1945 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. William was killed in action on February 16, 1944. DUNCAN, John Harry WWII John was born in Avebury, Saskatchewan on February 12, 1918. He enlisted in the Army on February 20, 1941, serving in Canada, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe during World War II. He was discharged on January 9, 1946. He was married to Alice Toffan and lived and farmed in Leask, SK. John received the 1939-1945 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. John passed away on November 26, 1993.
