LEST WE FORGET 97 CURRELL, George William WWI &WWII George William Currell was born on April 19, 1890 in Berrick, Oxfordshire, England. He arrived in Outlook at the age of 21 in the spring of 1911. He worked at the Outlook Flour Mill until he enlisted in the Army in Outlook on December 16, 1915. He served with the 128th Battalion and later the 46th Battalion in England and France. George suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg on April 21, 1917. He was discharged in Regina on June 10, 1919. During World War II, George re-enlisted with the Veterans Guard and escorted prisoners to England. At home in Outlook, he ran a draying business before he became coowner of a garage. He was later employed by the Outlook School Division until his retirement. George was an ardent curler. He passed away in Saskatoon in November 1974 and is buried in the Outlook Cemetery. CURRIE, Donald Laird WWII Donald was born on January 23, 1922 in Penzance, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in October 1940 as a Dispatch Rider and served in Canada and England until he was injured, resulting in him being assigned to other duties until his discharge on August 28, 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Penzance Branch. Donald passed away on June 2, 1972. CURRIE, Colin Archibald Bruce KOREANWAR Colin was born on August 8, 1933 in Davidson, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers and served in Canada. Colin passed away on June 21, 1985.
