LEST WE FORGET 55 ARNOTT, Roy WWI Roy was born in Grey County, Ontario, on October 19, 1893. The family moved to Michigan, USA, in 1898, then to Ceylon, SK, in 1906. In 1915, he joined the 49th Battalion CEF in Edmonton and served in England and France. On February 22, 1919, he was discharged and went on to farm in Ceylon. He then took his family to Michigan, where he worked in the auto industry. Roy passed away on April 15, 1961. BALL, Robert Harold WWII Robert was born on a farm near Keystown, Saskatchewan, in 1917. After completing high school in Silton, SK, he joined the RCAF in 1940, was then attached to the Royal Air Force and received training in England. His job as a Radar Mechanic was to build and modify radar stations in India, Burma, Ceylon, and England during World War II. At the age of 98, he wrote a book called The Road Burma in which he describes his years during the war and subsequent life as the City Engineer for the City of Regina. He received the following medals: 1939-1945 Star, Burma Star, Defence of Great Britain, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, Medal for Service - countries of India, Ceylon, Great Britain, and a Citation from the British Air Ministry for good work during the Battle of Britain. He served for four years and 254 days in the Air Force with the rank of Sergeant. Robert passed away in 2017. He was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion Silton Branch 33. BAGAMERY, Casper Timothy Scott PEACETIME Casper served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry from October 1995 to 1997. He then served with the 691 Hawk Squadron RC (Air)C from October 2001 to 2007. In 2007, he transferred to Rank Force. From July 2008 to 2013, he served at 15 Wing in Moose Jaw, SK, and from July 2013 to 2016 in recruiting in Regina, SK. Since March 2016 to the present, Corporal Casper Bagamery is attached to 1 Canadian Air Division CFB Winnipeg, Manitoba. In July 2012, he went to RIMPAC in Hawaii. From June 14 to July 17, 2018, he served on Public Duties with the Queen’s Guard in London, England.
