LEST WE FORGET 53 ARKSEY, Stanley Herbert WWII Stanley was born in 1922 in Rocanville, Saskatchewan, and enlisted with the Canadian Army (Active) serving in Canada, Britain and Northwest Europe. He received the 1939-1945 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp and the War Medal 1939-1945. Stanley passed away in 2003. ARNOLD, William Bradley WWII William was born in Kelleher, Saskatchewan, on May 26, 1925. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on December 6, 1943 and served at Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, until his discharge on September 7, 1945. He was a Legion member at North Portal, SK. He worked at Motorways Transport until he passed away on April 27, 1995. ARNOLD, George WWII George was born in Stalwart, Saskatchewan, in 1924. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1942. He did basic training in Toronto and was posted to Winnipeg, Davidson and Yorkton. He worked in the fire department and crash truck. George was discharged in 1946 at Portage la Prairie. He worked in Portage and Stalwart as Coalmine-Crowsnest Pass Mechanic before retiring in 1964. He spent three years in Imperial, farmed, was an Elevator Agent, sold insurance with Saskatchewan Government Insurance and was a Fleet Supervisor with Yorkdale School Unit. George was Past President of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 77 and is a Life Member.
