LEST WE FORGET 333 John Alexander Sandor and Josephine Lydia Taylor A Canadian Veteran and His War Bride John was born in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army and served in Sicily, Africa, Italy and Belgium during World War II. He was trained on the big guns and was seriously wounded in Sicily and sent home. John lost his hearing but was well enough to barber. He eventually had his own hairdressing and barber shop in Regina. Josephine was born in London, England. They were married in London, England in 1945. Josephine left London and arrived in Halifax. From there, she made her way to a farm in Moosomin, Saskatchewan. John passed away on December 31, 1979.
