LEST WE FORGET 309 PROSKO, Peter Paul WWII Peter was born in 1921 in Watson, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 as an Airframe Mechanic. He was stationed in Regina, SK; Lachine, QC; St. Thomas, ON; and Souris, MB. For a short period of time after the war ended, he went to Moose Jaw, SK, where he was discharged in 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Watson Branch 272 for 25 years. Peter passed away in 1983. QUINN, George D. WWII George was born on March 12, 1906 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. He immigrated to Canada in 1928 and worked on farms. He moved to the Stowlea district in 1934 to become a homesteader. On August 12, 1943, he joined the Artillery in Regina and served in Infantry in France, England, Belgium, Germany and Holland. He was attached to the American Army in the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes Forest. He received the 1939-1945 Star, the France and Germany Star, the George VI DG Medal and the 1939-1945 Volunteer Service Award. He was discharged on March 8, 1946. George passed away in 2003. PROSSER, John Burton WWII John was born in 1915 in Piapot, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Army and served in England until his discharge. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Loon Lake and Kyle Branches. John passed away in 1998.
