LEST WE FORGET 273 MOSS, Alfred Gordon WWII Alfred was born on June 14, 1912 in Liverpool, England. He came to Canada in 1927 to work for his uncle. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 7, 1941 and served in England, Egypt and North Africa until his discharge on October 16, 1945. He returned to Canada to farm after the war. He received the Star of Africa and the Star of Egypt. He joined The Royal Canadian Legion Glen Kerr Branch 126. Alfred passed away in December 1970. MULLER, Hjalmer Walter WWII Hjalmer was born in 1918 in Leroy, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corp in November 1941 and served in England, Continental Europe and the Central Mediterranean until his discharge in August 1946. He received the following medals: the 1939-1945 Star, the Italy Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Leroy Branch. Hjalmer passed away in 1996. MOULDING, George Edward WWII George was born in 1920 in Lemberg, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939. He served as an Aero Engine Mechanic at No. 5 Bombing and Gunnery School in Dafoe, SK, and later in Manitoba. As a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Abernethy, he was active on many committees and once held the positions of President and Zone Commander. In 1967, he was awarded the Centennial Medal for his work for The Legion. George passed away in 2007.
