LEST WE FORGET 251 McADAM, Geraldine Rose WWII Geraldine was born on October 21, 1918 in Lake Alma, Saskatchewan. She grew up in Bromhead and went to school to become a teacher. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (WD) in 1942 and was stationed in numerous bases in Canada. She received her discharge in 1945 and returned to Bromhead. She married Robert Frederick in 1947 and they eventually moved to Lewiston, Idaho. Geraldine passed away in 1995. McADAM, William Henry WWII William was born on May 28, 1921 in Lake Alma, Saskatchewan. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 16, 1941. He trained to become a pilot at various points in Saskatchewan and went overseas in the spring of 1942. He was stationed in Scotland and was killed on August 15, 1942. William is buried at Longside Cemetery near Peterhead in Scotland. McADAM, Lewis James WWII Lewis was born on October 3, 1915 in Wisconsin, USA. He was raised and educated in Bromhead, Saskatchewan. He joined the Army in 1942 and moved to Ottawa. He spent 25 years with the Royal Canadian Engineers and after the Second World War, he spent several summers with Army Survey, surveying and mapping Northern Canada. After Army retirement, he was employed by the Department of National Defence. Lewis passed away in 1981.
