LEST WE FORGET 249 MARTIN, John S. KOREANWAR John served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Korean War. He received the Canadian Korea Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal for Korea, Special Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal (Korea). He received his sixty-year Long Service Award Pin with The Royal Canadian Legion Esterhazy Branch 249. MASON, William Ashton WWII William was born in Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, on January 10, 1920. He enlisted in the Army and served as Sapper with the Royal Canadian Engineers, 2 Cdn. E & M Platoon ‘A’. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Shellbrook. William passed away in 1974. MARTIN, Robert “Bob” WWII Robert enlisted in the Provost Corps (Military Police) in January 1942 and served until he was discharged in 1946. Robert was killed in a train/car accident in 1954. His interment is in the Greenwood Cemetery.
