He was a Life Member of The Royal Canadian Legion North Portal Branch 117. Len passed away in 1989. MacFIE, James E. WWII James was born in 1918 in Selkirk, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Army on September 6, 1939 and served with the 1st L.A.A. Battery, RCA, CASF in Italy and Sicily. James was killed in action in 1944 and he is buried at Ravenna War Cemetery, Piangipane, Italy. MacFIE, Gordon C. WWII Gordon was born in 1920 in Selkirk, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Army in 1941 and served with the 17th Field Regiment RCA, serving in Italy and Western Europe until his discharge in 1945.
