LEST WE FORGET 189 HILL, Ray WWII Ray was born on October 1, 1920 in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Army with the Elgin Regiment and served as a cook with his brother George. He served in Britain, Holland, Belgium, France and Germany until his discharge. He received the following Medals: 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, 1939-1945 Canada Volunteer Service Medal with red, green and black ribbon. Ray passed away on June 20, 1980. HILTS, Arthur Halley WWII Arthur was born in Saskatchewan on June 7, 1910. He enlisted in the Army on May 1, 1942. He trained as a soldier in the artillery for three months, general training took place in Regina, SK. He served forty months as a Gunner in the UK, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He served a total of 44 months during World War II. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 16 in Foam Lake for 29 years. Arthur passed away on October 15, 1975. HILL, WilliamThomas WWII William was born on July 4, 1916 in Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Army and served with the Fourth Casualty Clearing Station in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Italy until his discharge. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Birch Hills Branch. William passed away on May 18, 2000.
