LEST WE FORGET 143 FRANKLIN, Albert E. WWII Albert was born on June 5, 1918 in Crystal Springs, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Army on June 23, 1941 and served with the 4th Division Royal Canadian Service Corps and was employed as an M.V. Fitter in Group “A”. He served in Canada for sixteen months and then was sent overseas to the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany and served for 41 ½ months until his discharge on April 2, 1946. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Prince George Branch. Albert passed away in 1986. FRIESEN, George WWII George was born in 1920 in Borden, Saskatchewan. He was called up for service on March 12, 1942 and reported to Regina, SK. He served in Canada until his discharge in 1946. George passed away in 1990. FRANKLIN, William John WWII William was born in 1925 in Kinistino, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Air Force and trained in Canada. He served as a Tail Gunner and flew 29 missions over Germany. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Birch Hills and Prince George Branches for 45 years. William passed away in 2000.
