LEST WE FORGET 133 ENGEN, William Henry KOREANWAR William was born in Kinistino, Saskatchewan, in 1932. He enlisted in the Army and served as a Machine Gunner and Small Arms Instructor. After the Korean War, William worked for SaskPower for 35 years in engineering and design. He was a fifteen-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 234 in Lumsden. William passed away in 2003. EWEN, Cecil James WWII Cecil was born in 1921 in Kelvington, Saskatchewan. He enlisted with the Canadian Armoured Corps on November 13, 1942 in Regina, SK. He served with the BCD Tanks in England, Africa and Italy, where he was wounded in 1944. He was hospitalized in England. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kelvington Branch 19 for 62 years. Cecil passed away in 2007. EVANS, Roy Charles WWII Roy was born on November 12, 1926 in Penhold, Alberta. He joined the Navy in 1943 and took his basic training in Calgary and was then transferred for more training to Cornwallis, NS, where he specialized in the “Anti-Aircraft Gunners Course”. He served on the Port Arthur’s Ship where he was on escort duty. He signed up for Pacific Duty and served on the Q121 Ship. He received the following Medals: Voluntary Service, Georgivs VIL, CBR REXEI, the Atlantic Star and INDIAP. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Ponteix Branch for 42 years. Roy passed away on April 23, 2006.
