DUFFIELD, Ken WWII Ken enlisted in the Army and served with the Royal Regina Rifles Regiment during the Second World War. He was a platoon commander for B Company. He led twelve men onto the beaches on D-Day. They did not lose a man on the beach. While serving he received some gunshot injuries on his arms. In 2015 he was awarded the Legion of Honour Medal from France. DUNBAR, Robert Glass WWI Robert was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on December 29, 1872. He enlisted in the Army in Lumsden on November 1, 1915 where he was working as an Insurance Agent. He was sent to the 5th Battalion from the 68th. On September 10, 1916, he suffered shell shock when he was buried alive. He was then killed at Thiepval Ridge on September 26, 1916 and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial.
