He enlisted in August 23, 1918 in Regina and served in the First World War. Alexander lived in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. CAMPBELL, Alexander WWI Alexander was born on October 4, 1893 to Archie and Annie Campbell. He enlisted in the Army on September 23, 1914 in Valcartier and served with the 5th Battalion of the Saskatchewan Regiment during the First World War. Alexander was killed in action on October 19, 1919 at age 26. He is buried in Chater Cemetery in Manitoba. CAMPBELL, John WWI John was born on April 11, 1877 in Wick, Scotland. Before enlisting in the Canadian Army on February 12, 1917 in Regina, Saskatchewan, he worked as a teamster and lived in Bethune, SK. He also served previously in England for eight years with colours and four years reserve. He served with the Cameron Highlanders (UK) and the 28th Battalion (Canada) in South Africa, China, Gibraltar and India during the First World War. He was killed in action near Vimy in France on June 26, 1918. He was buried as a Private at Bellacourt Military Cemetery near Arras, France.
