The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 47 BELL, Elmer John WWI Elmer was born in Harriston, Ontario on August 29, 1889. He was living in Disley, SK and working as a barber before enlisting in the Army. He travelled to Regina to enlist on January 6, 1916. In July 1916 he received a bullet wound to the left thigh. The round was removed with no complications. He was killed two years later at Le Quesnoy, France on August 10, 1918. He is buried at Bouchoir New British Cemetery in Somme, France. He served with the 68th Battalion, 1st O.M.R, 19th Res. Battalion and 1st C.M.R during the First World War. BELLISLE, Arthur Edward WWII Arthur was born in Bismark, North Dakota, USA in 1915. He enlisted in the Army and served with the 8th Reconnaissance (8 Recce) Regiment (14th Canadian Hussars) - 2nd Division in Canada, England and possibly France during the Second World War. He was awarded the Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Bar and War Medal 1939-1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. Arthur passed away in 1979. BERRY, George H. WWI George was born in 1890. He enlisted in the Army and served as a Corporal with the 5th Battalion. George passed away in 1976 and is buried in Regina Beach Cemetery.
