The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 393 FREISS (McGUIRE), Margaret Margaret was born in Belfast, Ireland to Edward and Marjorie (McIlroy). The family moved to Scotland where Margaret was raised in a small industrial town, Kirkintillock. She married Peter Freiss and their first daughter, Monica, was born. After the war, Margaret and Monica followed Peter to Torquay, SK where five more children were born – Marjorie, Wanda, Gail, Tracey and Noreen. Margaret was a Private 1st Class “C” Company in the British Army. INGRAM (MELROSE), Janet Janet was born in Mosstower Farm, Scotland and resided in Cessford, Kelso, Scotland before departing for Canada. She married Lewis Delmar Ethelbert Ingram, who was serving in the Army, in 1947 in Kelvington, SK. She departed for Halifax, Nova Scotia on June 6, 1947 in Southampton, England and arrived to her final destination in Kelvington by train. Janet was sick every day on the ship. She was told at the Winnipeg train station that there was no such place as Kelvington. Obviously, the ticket supplier had Janet booked on the wrong rail line. She is a member of the Kelvington Legion Branch. MORRIS, Anne Anne married Wilson Morris in 1942. She departed for Canada with her three children and arrived in Canada in July 1946. She is a member of the Frobisher Legion Branch 343.
