The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 387 ZANGER, Aaron PEACETIME Aaron was born in Frobisher, Saskatchewan to Philip and Jay Jay (Timmons). His siblings were Ryan, Misty and Reeva and stepsisters Crystal and Shannon. He finished school and then went into the Armed Forces doing some duty overseas. He was stationed in Edmonton for some time and now has gone to Ottawa to finish out his time until retirement. ZIMMER, Myron Jack SPECIAL DUTY AREA Myron was born on May 22, 1934 in Bruno, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Air Force on May 6, 1956 with the All Weather Fighter Squadron as a Flying Officer. He served in France. Myron died in a CF-100 airplane accident on a training exercise at Folschviller, France, shortly after taking off on January 27, 1961. ZORN, Douglas C. RCMP Douglas was born in Virden, Manitoba in 1934. He served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Ontario, New-Brunswick and Saskatchewan, attaining the rank of S/Sgt. and serving for 35 years. He was awarded the Long Service Golden Bar, and the Community Service Award was presented to him by the Lt. Governor. Douglas was a pallbearer for John Diefenbaker. He has been a member of North Battleford Legion Branch 70 for 48 years.
