The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 357 WALKER, Andrew WWI Andrew was born in Kirkcudbright, Scotland on August 12, 1889. He enlisted in the Army on December 22, 1914 in Winnipeg and served with the Winnipeg Rifles (Little Black Devils), 8th Canadian Infantry during the First World War. He lived in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. WALKER, Drayton Ernest WWI & WWII Drayton was born in August of 1900 in Maple Creek, NWT. He enlisted with the Air Force in 1918 and served in Canada. He became a member of the Militia from 1927-39. At the outbreak of the war in September of 1939, he was assigned to the S.L.I. and served overseas until his discharge as Lt. Col. Drayton. He married Margaret Alice Campbell in 1929 and they raised a family of three sons. He passed away on November 15, 1975. WALKER, John Bradburn WWII John enlisted in the Air Force and served with Halifax Air Crew / 51 Squadron during the Second World War from November 26, 1941 to October 2, 1945. He earned the Air Bomber’s Badge and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was a Prisoner of War at Stalag 4B from November 19, 1943 until he was liberated on April 23, 1945.
