The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 331 TAFLEMEYER, Paul Paul was born in North Dakota, USA. He moved to the Frobisher district from North Dakota on April 12, 1922 at the age of ten. The family consisted of Emil, Herman, Freida and Cecelia and stepbrother Gunther Harms. They lived in the school districts of South Frobisher, Ernewien and Out of Sight until 1952 at which the parents retired and moved to Willmar, Saskatchewan, and Paul to Carlyle. TALLENTIRE, Elsie WWII Elsie was born in 1902 in England. She joined the Navy and served aboard HMCS “Naden” in Canada. She was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Whitewood Branch 87. Elsie passed away in 1961. TANNAHILL, Robert Allen RESERVE Robert was born in 1938 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He enrolled in The Canadian Army Reserve in 1968 and in 1975 he was appointed via a Queen’s Commission an officer with the rank of Second Lieutenant. He served in Canada with the North Saskatchewan Regiment. In 1980 he was appointed a Captain and retained this rank until his honourable release at age 65 in 2003. He received the Canadian Forces Decoration with Bar, Queen’s Golden Jubilee, Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Royal Canadian Legion Volunteer and Legion 90th Anniversary medals. Awards received were – Royal Canadian Army Cadet Instructor Cadre for 35 years of service, Canadian Forces Range Safety Officer, Basic Army, Canadian Forces Cold Weather Indoctrination Instructor, Canadian Forces Cross Country Awareness, Canadian Forces Canoe Instructor, Canadian Forces Suicide Intervention, Biathlon Judge, Biathlon Instructor, Firearm Safety Instructor, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Law Enforcement and Canadian Police Information Course by the RCMP. He was Commanding Officer and other positions for 35 years with 2537 Battleford Legion Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps. He is a 36-year member with the Battleford Legion Branch 9.
