The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 325 STORIE, Robert Morely WWI & WWII Robert was born in Lanark County, Perth, Ontario on December 31, 1896. At the age of eleven he moved to Morse, Saskatchewan where he worked at breaking horses. He enlisted under age in 1914 at Estevan and served overseas until 1919; he was wounded at Vimy Ridge. He returned from overseas, took a barber course and married Jemima Munro on March 20, 1920. He worked at Calgary and Edmonton before moving to the Frobisher district. Their only daughter Margaret was born in 1922. Roberts’ wife passed away in 1939. He served in the Home Guard in Regina during the Second World War. In 1944, he was given a citation by the government for his assistance to the Red Cross during the Kamsack cyclone. He remarried in 1951. In 1953, he had one lung removed and passed away in 1955. STOROZUK, William WWII William was born on March 3, 1915 in Wishart, SK. He enlisted with the Army on May 26, 1944 and served until his discharge on August 14, 1944. He is married to Nettie and they raised a family of five children. He joined the Sheho Legion Branch in 1950 and served there until his employment transferred him to Wynyard and he joined The Legion there. William passed away on September 27, 1995. STRATTON, Edward Lea “Ted” WWI Edward was born on December 14, 1888 in Worton, England and he immigrated to Canada in 1905. He joined the Winnipeg Machine Gun Cavalry in June of 1917 and served in France. He met Mabel Ester Batchelor while serving and they were married on January 31, 1918 in England. They went back to Canada in August of 1919 and they moved to Armentiers Soldier Settlement in 1920 to start farming. Edward passed away on May 23, 1984.
