The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 319 STEVENSON, Arthur Glen “Bussy” WWII Bussy was born on October 18, 1920 in Arborfield, SK. His family homesteaded in the Pembina District. He enlisted with Royal Canadian Navy on June 10, 1941 and served until his discharge on February 14, 1946. He received the following medals: Atlantic Star, 1939-1945 Star, King George, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Pin. He married in 1946 and they farmed in the Huntdale area. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion since 1951. Bussy passed away on October 12, 1996. STEVENSON, Milton WWI Milton enlisted with the Canadian Army and served overseas during the First World War. He married in 1938 and moved to the Megan District where they farmed until 1952 when the family moved to the coast. They raised a family of six children who all lived on the coast. Milton passed away in 1976. STEWART, John F. “Jack” WWII & RCMP Jack was born in Ottawa, Ontario. His name is synonymous with sport and recreation, particularly football in Saskatchewan and Canada for over fifty years. Jack played guard for the Ottawa Rough Riders during the 1933 and 1934 seasons. After the Second World War, where he served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, minor football was reorganized in Regina and Jack began his tenure as secretary to junior football teams. Jack held the position of Registrar of the Canadian Amateur Football Association from 1972 until 1974 when the Canadian Junior Football League was formed. Jack was also director of the Regina Rams Football Club from their inauguration in 1954.
