The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 309 ST-ARNAUD, Louis KOREAN WAR Louis was born in 1926 in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan. He obtained his medical degree from Universite Laval and specialized in Tropical Medicine at Oxford, England. He enlisted with the Army and served in Canada, Korea, Germany and Ghanda until his retirement as Colonel from the Army in 1977. Louis passed away on September 7, 2001. STACEY, Kenneth Gordon WWII Kenneth was born on July 31, 1918 in Central Butte, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army on December 17, 1942. He served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe until his discharge on February 20, 1946. He received the following medals: 1939-1945 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star, and the War Medal. He also received a Certificate of Appreciation for his participation in the experiments at the Suffield Experimental Station. Kenneth passed away in 2000. STACHERUK, George WWII George was born in Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the Canadian Army on May 13, 1942. He served in Canada, England, and Continental Europe until his discharge on January 18, 1946. He received the following medals: 1939-1945 Star, France and Germany Star, Defense Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He got married on October 30, 1947 and they raised a family of two sons and two daughters. George passed away on May 3, 1960.
