He enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1942 and served for four years in Canada until his discharge in 1946. After the war he returned to Sheho and worked as a farm laborer. Freeman is deceased. SANDBERG, Norman WWII Norman was born on February 26, 1917 in Sheho, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1942 and served for four years until his discharge in January of 1946.He married Anne Mikkonan. After his discharge he started working in Foam Lake and later moved to Norman in 1952 to operate his own garage. Norman passed away in 1977. SANDBERG, Truman WWII Truman was born in 1920 in Sheho, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Artillery in the beginning of the Second World War and served in England and in Continental Europe until the end of the war. After his discharge he returned home to Sheho. He later worked for his brother Norman in Leslie, SK. Truman passed away on August 1, 1989.
