He enlisted with the Army in 1940 and served with the Regina Rifles in Canada, Britain, and Northwest Europe until 1945. He was married in 1948 and they raised one daughter. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Whitewood Branch 87 for 37 years. James passed away on February 25, 1984. ROBIDOUX, Lawrence J. KOREAN WAR Lawrence was born in 1928 in Radville, SK. He enlisted with the U.S. Army on January 25, 1949. Lawrence was taken as a Prisoner of War on November 27, 1950 near UNSUN and was killed on May 31, 1951. ROBINSON, George L. WWII George was born on March 27, 1913 in Maple Creek, SK. He enlisted with the Royal Canadian Engineers and served with the 23rd Field Company in England, France, Holland, and Belgium until his discharge in 1946. After the war he returned home and purchased land south of Carmichael. He taught 4-H for 25 years and was inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame in 1997. He was a Charter member of The Royal Canadian Legion Tompkins Branch 140 and was awarded with a Life Membership and served a total of 54 years. George passed away on October 16, 1999.
