The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 247 RECH, Edward Werner WWII Edward was born on August 21, 1920 to John and Blondin (Heppner). He served during the Second World War as a Flying Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Edward was killed in action on January 14, 1945. REDFORD, Jack WWII Jack and his family moved to Arborfield in 1937. He enlisted with the Army Signal Corps on February 1, 1941. He transferred to the Postal Corps and served as a Clerk in Canada until his discharge on February 20, 1946. The family moved to Kamloops, British Columbia in 1952. Jack passed away on December 11, 1979. REED, Bruce WWII Bruce was born in Steelman, Saskatchewan in 1911. He received his education at Rosleigh Public School and Frobisher High School. He worked as a teller at the Bank of Montreal in Estevan and Gainsborough and farmed in the Steelman area. In 1934, he married Margaret Messham, had twins and then moved to Frobisher. Two years later, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and was discharged in 1945. He worked for Saskatchewan Power in Regina for 27 years. Bruce passed away on November 7, 1979 at the age of 68.
