The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 417 STREGGER, Albert WWII Albert was born on September 4, 1923 in Callaway, Minnesota, USA to Christof and Caroline Stregger. After several relocations, the family moved to farm southeast of Macoun, SK in 1926. Albert joined the Army and after discharge, he moved to British Columbia where he kept busy at various occupations including working at lumber camps, driving and maintaining cement plant equipment. Later, Albert was a partner in a resort near Kamloops and then worked in the home-insulating business in Didsbury, AB. Gladys Weishuhn became his wife on June 11, 1948 and they had five children. STREGGER, Christof “Chris” Chris was born on May 18, 1920 in Callaway, Minnesota, USA to Christof and Caroline Stregger. After several relocations, the family moved to farm southeast of Macoun, SK in 1926. Chris enlisted in the Army and upon his discharge, lived in Estevan, SK where he married Joyce Hogman on July 12, 1946. They had five children. He worked in bakery and grocery businesses and later in construction and maintenance. Chris passed away in 1976. STRIBBELL, Howard WWII & KOREAN WAR Howard was born in Mossbank, SK on May 13, 1924. He served as a Sharp Shooter with the 193 Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry during the Second World War. He also served during the Korean War. Howard passed away on November 24, 2015.
