He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served in Canada and England until his discharge in 1945. He married a widow with two daughters and they moved back to New Osgoode where they were blessed with another girl. Louis passed away on August 29, 1982. PENIL, Wilfred WWII Wilfred was born on July 11, 1907 in the USA. He later moved with his parents to Mayberry, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps on April 24, 1943 and served as a Butcher in Canada until his discharge on October 15, 1945. He was married with a family of four children. Wilfred passed away on April 24, 1980. PENMAN, John WWI John was born on October 12, 1895 in Kingsley, Manitoba. He went to Jordan River, SK with his brother in 1915 to file for homesteads. He enlisted in the Army and served with the 78th Battalion overseas. After the war, he continued to farm, got married in 1932 and raised a family of five children. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Arborfield Branch 203. John passed away on January 8, 1986.
