The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 363 O’CONNOR, Frances Lenora WWII Frances was born on April 3, 1917 in Saskatoon, SK. She enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force (Women’s Division) on March 18, 1942 and served in Canada during the Second World War. After her basic training at #7 Manning Depot at Rockcliffe, Ontario she was sent to #1 Technical Training School at St. Thomas, ON for an Accounting Course. She was posted to RCAF HQ in Ottawa as a Clerk Accountant between June 1942 and April 1943, and after attaining the rank of Sergeant, she became senior NCO in charge of the Women’s Division personnel. In October 1944, she was posted to RCAF Vancouver, where she was responsible for the preparation of discharge records, accounting work and supervision duties. She was posted to RCAF Calgary on January 4, 1946 and discharged on January 11, 1946. Frances was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-1945 War Medal. Frances passed away on December 21, 1993. O’RIORDON, Terence WWII Terence enlisted in the Army on July 23, 1943 and served with the 8th Calgary Regiment in Canada, England, Sicily and Italy. He married Beatrice Meachem and they had a son. Terence was killed in action in Italy on February 2, 1944 and is buried in Moro River Canadian War Cemetery, Ortona Chierta, Italy. ODDAN, Harold Engman WWII Harold was born on March 12, 1911 in Eli, MB. He moved with his parents in 1912 to Hatton, SK where he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1940 and was posted in Calgary, AB. He married Adrie Reynoldson on April 18, 1942 and his daughter Sharon was born on September 7, 1943. He served with the #419 Moose Squadron and in January 1944, he was posted in England. Harold was killed in action during a night raid in Belgium on May 13, 1944.
