He moved to Canada in May 1930 to the Megan, SK area, worked for other farmers clearing land and also worked for Granville Rourke hauling machinery. He enlisted in the RCACE on October 1, 1943 and served with the Mine Lifting Platoon in Canada, England and Germany until his discharge in 1946. After the war, he worked for the Department of Highways until his retirement in 1972. Andrew passed away in February 1981. O’BYRNE, Carl WWII Carl was born on July 14, 1922 in Wilcox, SK. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on September 2, 1942 and served until his discharge in April 1946. Carl passed away on October 29, 1994. O’BYRNE, Lewis WWII Lewis enlisted in the RCA on April 26, 1941 and served as an Orderly Clerk in Canada until his discharge on July 26, 1943. Lewis passed away on January 15, 1978.
