The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 353 NESSET, Harold Oliver WWII Harold volunteered in 1942 and served in the RCEME as a Rifleman. He was in active service and was injured enroute overseas. He then served in Canada until his discharge in January 1944. After the war, he returned home to the farm. Harold passed away on January 2, 1986. NESSET, Iver J. WWII Iver enlisted in the RCA in 1941 and served with the ECEBAE-SPR in England, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium and Germany until his discharge in 1945 with the rank of Private. After the war, he went to work for the CPR. Iver passed away on April 6, 1994. NESSET, Melvin WWII Melvin enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1941 and took his basic training in Esquimalt, BC. He was posted to the Coastal Defence area in Esquimalt, 33 LAA Battery RCA Troop until 1943. He served in the RCEME 13th Infantry Brigade and was discharged as a Private and Gunner in 1943. After his discharge, he returned to Sheho, SK and for a number of years, he was employed by the CPR and also farmed until he retired at the age of sixty-five. Melvin passed away in 1982.
