The Royal Canadian Legion Saskatchewan Command LEST WE FORGET 349 NEAL, Charles BOER WAR, WWI & WWII Charles was born in England, enlisted in the British Army and served in the Boer War. He then migrated to Canada and settled in the Sheho District, SK where he spent most of his life. He served in the First World War, the Second World War, and then served as a Guard in Ontario for the Prisoners of War during the Second World War. Charles passed away on April 23, 1965. NEKORAK, Fred WWII Fred was born on January 15, 1910 in Sheho, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Army Active on January 12, 1942 with the Infantry and served as D.R. with the RCETC. He then went overseas and served in the United Kingdom, France and Continental Europe until his discharge in April 1945. He was wounded three times during his time overseas. After the war, he worked at various jobs in Nipigon, ON and ventured into his own business. Fred passed away in 1957. NEKORAK, George WWII George was born in Sheho, SK. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in January 1942 with the Infantry and after he took his basic training, he served in Canada, England and Holland until his discharge in February 1946 with the rank of Private. After his discharge, he started farming in 1946 south of Sheho and continued until 1980. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Sheho Branch 356. George passed away on July 25, 1995.
